  • Kent Brown Angus JBS Cattle Tennessee

    JBS Angus

Jared Brown established Jared Brown & Son Angus on November 13, 1961, with the purchase of two registered Angus heifers from local Angus breeder, Harold Bilbrey. From that date forward the goal at JBS has been to strive to produce the ultimate Angus Cow for the sole purpose of offering superior bulls to our commercial bull customers and top end females to our fellow Registered Angus Breeders.

JBS has over the past decades put extreme selection pressure on feet and leg structure, teat and udder quality, slick hair coats, fleshing ease on grass, fertility, maternal function and docility, which leads to longevity. Some in the Beef industry call all of these “convenience traits”, at JBS they are “absolutely essential”.

JBS was a founding partner of the Genetic Excellence Angus Bull Sale, which just celebrated its 21st year providing bulls to our valued commercial customers and our fellow seed stock providers. JBS is proud to join our friends Holt Farms, Legacy Farms and Limestone Genetics at the Angus Traditions Female Sale.

  • Holt Farms Levi Holt David Holt Angus Cattle Tennessee

    Holt Farms

After more than 30 years in the dairy industry, David Holt made the switch to a Registered Black Angus herd in 2006, and from that moment on, it became more than just a business—it became a true passion and a lifelong commitment for our family.

We take great pride in raising cattle that reflect the best qualities of the Angus breed—structural integrity, fertility, maternal strength, and longevity. Every decision we make, from breeding selections to daily herd management, is driven by our dedication to producing cattle that will excel in both registered and commercial operations.

Our program is built on balanced EPD profiles, ensuring each generation moves forward in calving ease and growth performance while maintaining the practicality and durability Angus cattle are known for.

We are proud to be longtime partners in the Genetic Excellence Angus Bull Sale with JBS Angus, offering bulls each January that meet the highest breed standards. In addition, we market our steers through our local beef program. We have previously marketed our females through private treaty and consignment sales across the Southeast. We are proud to be a part of the Angus Traditions Registered Female Sale alongside with these three farms that we think so highly of.

If you would like to learn more about our farm and our cattle, you can find out more on our website, on Facebook, or on Instagram.

  • Legacy Farms

    Legacy Farms

Legacy Farms was established in 2008 by Daniel and Lindsey Reynolds as a first generation angus seedstock operation. Since the beginning we have focused our efforts on establishing a cow herd that excels on fescue through a stringent breeding and culling program. Solely relying on Artificial Insemination and embryo transfer, we have sourced genetics from some of the most notable angus herds to propagate cow lines that work in our environment like the Lucy, Dixie Erica, Donna and Burgess cow families. We strive to produce cattle that offer the phenotype, performance and pedigrees that we desire; keeping the end merit of the commercial producer at the forefront of our breeding decisions. We’re excited to be partnering with JBS Angus, Holt Farms and Limestone Genetics in offering our best to the Angus Traditions Female Sale.

  • Limestone Genetics

    Limestone Genetics

In 2019, just months after graduating college from Western Kentucky University, Will Chapman started Limestone Genetics. Will quickly became enthusiastic about the Angus breed making cattle suited for his central Kentucky environment.

At Limestone, they have to be cows first and must earn their keep year after year. They must have exceptional foot quality, udder quality, and fertility all while having outstanding phenotype. Will is passionate about pedigrees and believes in stacking these kind of cows many generations deep.

Limestone Genetics along with Legacy Farms has marketed females through an online sale the past several years with great success. They have also built a strong private treaty bull market over the last few years.
